Fire and emergency prevention save lives. The Kirkwood Fire Department (KFD) issues permits for multiple tasks including open burning and commercial construction for compliance with the International Fire Code which helps ensure the safety of everyone in our community by helping prevent emergency situations.
To facilitate the process, the KFD encourages the use of a electronic application and plan submissions. The use of electronic plan submissions allows KFD to conserve resources while providing a higher level of service to the community.
