The Industrial Development Authority has five directors, each serving 6-year terms. They meet as needed, which is dependent on application for Industrial Revenue Bonds or other items related to commercial development. They file an Annual Report with City Council and include audited financial statements. Other duties: May grant tax exempt status for financing if the development will add jobs and improve the City; authority to issue bonds; promotes development; acquires and develops real estate for industrial development; promotes and solicits industries and economic development in the City.
