Development Codes

On February 18, 2021, the City Council approved the updated Zoning, Subdivision, and Sign Codes along with revised administrative sections related to the Architectural Review Board and Board of Adjustment.  The adopted versions of these code sections can be found on the City's eCode page here:  https://ecode360.com/KI3621.

Planning & Zoning Commission - General Info

The Commission is made up of nine volunteer residents who serve four-year terms and are appointed by the Mayor and City Council.  For a current roster of the Commission, please see the "Contact Us" portion of the City Clerk's page at the following link:  Board and Commission Page. The Commission is responsible for analyzing, reviewing, and making recommendations on zoning matters to the City Council for the following petition types:

• Commercial Site Plan Reviews
• Rezonings
• Special Use Permits
• Subdivision of Property
• Community Unit Plans
• Zoning Code Amendments
