The Police Officers’ and Firefighters’ Pension  Board is made up of seven members. The police chief and fire chief are standing members of the board. Two fire department and two police department employees are elected by other employees in their departments. A citizen representative is appointed by the mayor and city council. The board meets at least quarterly and is responsible for administering the Plan in a uniform and nondiscriminatory manner. The Plan is a defined contribution plan. The entirety of the Plan can be found in Appendix F of the City’s Code of Ordinances.
