History of the Kirkwood Train Station
**Train Station Renovation Notice**
Due to renovations aimed at elevating both safety and comfort, the Kirkwood Train Station will not be available for reservations until the project completion expected mid-summer 2025. We eagerly await your return to our enhanced and historically charming facility. Thank you for your patience during this transformation period.
The historic downtown Kirkwood Train Station can be rented during the day or in the evening. Rental details are listed below. For answers to event specific questions, please contact Station Manager Bill Burckhalter at 314-792-4125.
If you (or your organization) do not have computer access, you may call 314-822-5806, and a staff member will enter your reservation electronically.
DAYTIME RENTALS

DAYTIME GUIDELINES
- Reservations must be made online and are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. The electronic date stamp of your online reservation determines the order of reservations.
- Daytime reservations are accepted on an hourly basis only, with a minimum rental of two hours; are available seven days a week between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.; and, may be made no more than one year in advance. All set-up and clean-up must be completed during the hourly rental times (start and stop times).
- A contract must be signed within five (5) business days of the acceptance and confirmation of the reservation. Rental fee—and security deposit, if applicable—are due with the signed contract.
- Fundraisers, including silent auctions are allowed; however, no product or merchandise sales are prohibited. Businesses may rent the Train Stations for parties only.
- Indoor capacity for the Train Station is 40, per the City of Kirkwood Fire Marshal. There is a combined indoor/outdoor capacity of 55, which requires tables be set up outdoors.
- The Kirkwood Train Station is a smoke-free environment. Under-age drinking is prohibited and renters will be held responsible if it takes place on the premises.
DAYTIME RENTAL FEES
The daytime rental rate is $75 per hour. A $50 host fee must be paid in cash directly to the host at the start of the event. A security deposit may be required depending on the nature of the event.

EVENING RENTAL GUIDELINES

- Evening reservations are accepted for five-hour rental blocks; are available seven days a week between the hours of 5:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., including setup; and, may be made no more than one year in advance. All clean-up must be completed within 30 minutes of the end of the event.
- A contract must be signed within five (5) business days of the acceptance and confirmation of the reservation. Rental fee and security deposit are due with the signed contract.
- Fundraisers, including silent auctions are allowed; however, no product or merchandise sales are prohibited. *Businesses may rent the Train Stations for parties only.

The evening rental rates are for a five-hour rental and are as follows: Kirkwood Resident or Business*: $300, Kirkwood Nonprofit Organization: $100, Nonresident Individual or Business: $400, and, Nonresident Nonprofit Organization: $200. A $200 Security and Cleaning Deposit is required for all renters and will be returned if the Train Station is cleaned and returned to its normal setup of tables and chairs. A $70 host fee must be paid in cash directly to the host at the start of the event. A security deposit may be required depending on the nature of the event.
