West Essex Reconstruction Project Open House
Public Meeting to Present Plans and Obtain Public Comments on STP-5502(610) on West Essex from Kirkwood Road to Geyer Road

All interested persons will be given an opportunity to make comments concerning the design of the Geyer Road Resurfacing – Phase 2 Project. Additional information can be found on the city’s website at https://www.kirkwoodmo.org/government/departments/public-services/engineering/projects.
The proposed project elements are as follows:
- New ADA compliant sidewalks and curb ramps/landings at the street intersections located between Geyer Road and North Kirkwood Road
- Full-Depth Asphalt Roadway reconstruction
- Improved pavement marking
- Improvements at multiple crosswalks
- Buffered bicycle lanes in both directions
- Radius improvements for pedestrian safety
- Temporary Construction Easements as indicated on the plans
- Permanent Easements as indicated on the plans
- Removal of Improvements as indicated on the plans
- Mid-Block crossing with pedestrian signal
Preliminary plans, maps, plats, environmental documentation, and other detailed information prepared by the City of Kirkwood’s engineering consultant (Lochmueller Group, Inc.) will be available at the public meeting. Tentative schedules for easement acquisition and construction will be discussed at the open house-style format.
