Geyer Road Resurfacing: Punchlist Items - Paving completed August 2024
This project from Adams Ave. to Big Bend Blvd. includes removing 2" of the asphalt surface, 2" asphalt overlay, spot curb repair, ADA curb ramp reconstruction, crosswalk and traffic signal replacement, and pavement markings for bicycle facilities. The at-grade railroad crossing will be reconstructed to provide ADA-compliant sidewalks and improve the vertical profile of the roadway for vehicles. Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons are being proposed to be installed with this project, at the midblock crosswalks at Nirk Ave. and Jefferson Ave. The STP federal program partially funds this project. Right-of-way acquisition took place in the fall of 2022. Construction of the project is underway and paving, weather permitting, is anticipated to be completed during August of 2024.
This letter was sent to residents in the area in November 2023.
