Historic Ste. Genevieve and Wine Tasting
On this tour we will visit one of the most historic, beautiful, and interesting areas in the region. Morning stops will include the Ste. Genevieve Visitors Center and the Philipson/Valle House, featuring an authentically restocked mercantile store of an historic trading firm. The family's living quarters display early empire furnishings, with original mantels and trim. Our generous and delicious family style lunch at Cafe Genevieve will consist of fried chicken, pork loin, salad, potatoes and gravy, vegetable, rolls, beverage, and apple crisp. After lunch we'll visit the beautiful and historic Church of St. Genevieve, and drive down St. Mary's Road to view rare vertical timber French dwellings. After a gorgeous drive through the rolling countryside, enjoy wine tasting on your own at Chaumette Winery. The views here cannot be topped. Enjoy an included wine tasting at the Cave Winery and a visit to the amazing cave on the property.
